Every year, more than 795,000 people in the United States have a stroke; it is the third leading cause of death and the number one cause of disability in our country. However, many strokes can be prevented! The first step is knowing your risk factors and how your choices could lead you to increased chance of stroke. The Minnesota Stroke Association has developed an assessment tool to empower you to make healthier choices and raise awareness of what specific areas you can improve to lower your risk.
