Unless you have had first hand experience with a loved one’s diagnosis, many people have not heard of Lewy Body Dementia – even though it is the second most common dementia after Alzheimer’s Disease. It has been covered in the news since the late Robin Williams’ wife recently shared that this was his primary diagnosis prior to his passing. As sad as this news is, it has helped to increase awareness and raise questions about what LBD is and how it is being addressed in health care.
Two of Noran Clinic’s neurologists were interviewed in the past few days about Lewy Body Dementia, and explain what this disease is and what we know about it right now.
