Headache and Migraine in the month of June

“Nearly everyone suffers from an occasional headache. But for some people, headaches are not just an inconvenience, they are a serious medical condition that can prevent them from doing their jobs, completing household chores or enjoying their families.”

We are already a week into June, the national month to increase Migraine & Headache Awareness.  At Noran Neurological Clinic, our adult and pediatric neurologists, along with allied health professionals, are all very familiar with the diagnosis and treatment of the spectrum of headache disorders.  Through the Minnesota Headache Center, experienced doctors and staff can evaluate headache or migraine symptoms, help to identify triggers and how to minimize them, as well as work with you to find treatment options to better manage or eliminate the sometimes debilitating symptoms of this medical condition.  In the next weeks of June, you will get insight from our neurological providers on how to identify possible triggers, as well as examples of the many treatments available for headache and migraine sufferers.

If you are one of the many patients who already work with our neurologists to manage your headaches, please feel free to share the tips or tricks you have learned to be helpful on our facebook page this month!  If you are still trying to identify your triggers, our doctors recommend keeping track of your headaches in a headache diary or journal; there are many headache tracker apps available for download, or contact us to have a Noran Clinic Headache Diary sent to you.  More on this to come!

If you are a migraine or headache sufferer looking for medical help to manage your condition, please contact Noran Neurological Clinic at 612-879-1500 to schedule an appointment with a neurologist experienced in the evaluation and treatment of these disorders.
